All Creatures Great and Small

Something different from me for the latest CD Sunday Challenge. Recently I have become a bit obsessed with pinterest and looking at ideas of different sorts of cards I could make. There is only so many rectangles, squares, matt and layer techniques you can do without them becoming a bit "samey". I find it is good to get some additional inspiration once in a while. I found a few amazing shaker cards, a technique that I have never tried before. So, here is my first Shaker card!

I have chosen a lovely vibrant image of a hummingbird from the Joanna Sheen paper crafting CD 'Jane Shasky - From the Heart of the Garden' as the background. This CD is such a good "go-to" CD; there are a lot of beautiful images of flowers, birds and butterflies which can be used for so many occasions. I used plain card from Rymans for the background and the cute flowers are made with an Xcut palm punch, adding a gem centre. The palm punch is amazing but if you do use it upside down the flowers fly everywhere! I am finding them all over the bedroom haha. I think I went a bit crazy with the amount of sequins I used for the shaker part but it's fun to shake it...
